Involuntary Solitude

The day started with the excitement of meeting old and new friends at Brisbane’s Mind, Body, and Spirit Festival, and having a birthday dinner with my grandson and family.

Boarding the train to South Brisbane station I began to feel slightly odd – odder than usual, by the time I entered the festival doors, my body was aching. After a quick hello with interstate friends, I dragged myself back around the corner to South Brisbane, for the trip home, feeling alone and sore not to mention deflated.
